Kinda reminds me of my younger brother after he read his first Science Fiction Space Alien novel. He didn't sleep for weeks and kept looking out his telescope into space for 'monsters getting ready to invade Earth.'
Imagination is a wonderful thing to have except at bedtime Monday to Thursday. Friday nights never counted at my house that was the start of the weekend so you could stay up late.
My dad always encouraged the active use of our imaginations when mom wasn't home. Mom on the other hand wouldn't allow us to exercise our imaginations calling imaginary play a 'total waste of time that should be spent studying!'
Just to clarify mom's P.O.V. her old neighborhood was rapidly going from family friendly to an old age gated community. By the time she was born and came home from the hospital it had rapidly changed in just a few days the last two families were gone and more senior citizens had moved in. Grams and Gramps didn't have money to buy a new house so she wound up spending 14 years in a Retirement Community hearing 'Don't go so fast! What are you trying to do you hippy, kill one of us on that contraption?!' Contraption being a 5 speed bicycle. Yeah you could REALLY kill someone on five speeds.
If she left her bike in her own drive way while she ran in to get her lunch and school bag,the director of the retirement community would knock on the front door and recite what he had written in a letter 'Please be advised that bicycles are a danger to our elderly and must be put away before a senior citizen trips over it and gets hurt badly. We here at Whispering Pines thank you for your continued Co-operation in keeping our streets safe and your children where they belong at home or at school. Thank you very much and have a good day.'
I've gotta either put my laptop to sleep or shut it off since I'm going out to pay a bill--I hate bills, then again who likes them?--then I'm gonna go see Titanic in 3D again. I'll read your note probably tonight or tomorrow.
